Elliott Hicks brings over four decades of radio programming and presentation experience to The Jazz Forum Plus.   He started as a student DJ at Grambling State University during the late 70s and early 80s.  Subsequently, he began his professional career in radio at a Houston public radio station and held positions at several public and commercial radio outlets thereafter.  Most recently, Elliott was a radio host at an Atlanta community radio station starting in 2014 to 2026.

Elliott's musical tastes and presentation can best be described as eclectic, with a common root of soul and positive expression.  His show Prime Time, very much personality driven, will take you through the musical worlds of funk, modern soul & R&B, singer songwriter, rock, rap, and jazz on the smooth side.  In other words, the full spectrum of "grown folks' music".    His show Body and Soul will showcase current, progressive jazz that will provide yet another dimension to the coverage of this original Art Form on The Jazz Forum Plus.  Finally, you can expect to hear reggae rarities and artists not frequently heard on his show Reggae Music--yet adding another genre of Real Music to our Jazz Forum Plus programming.
